Unable To Access Some Websites? The Cause and How To Fix It

Do you experience difficulties accessing some website on the internet? Do you get an error like "This Site Can’t be reached. The Connection was reset" or "This Site Can’t be reached. The Connection was reset ERR_CONNECTION_RESETor any other error when accessing some websites? I have experienced same issues and I have done some findings on what really causes this issue and how to fix it.

Most of these websites that you can't access are websites hosted on Google (Blogger hosted sites). This seems frustrating, as a webmaster you can access your website but you do access other websites!.

The Cause:

Like I have said earlier, "Most of these websites that you can't access are websites hosted on Google (Blogger hosted sites)". Some Nigeria Blogger using a custom domain for their Blogger blogs are complaining, On my findings, I discovered that these issues are caused when you're using a GLO network (sometimes Etisalat network) for your internet connection because The CNAMEs ghs.google.com and ghs.googlehosted.com which are used by blogger hosted sites with custom domains cannot be reached using the culprit I mentioned above (GLO & Etisalat).

How To Fix:

For Webmasters:

Here you don't need any VPN configuration or using browsers with an encrypted proxy like Epic Browser. Just follow the steps below.

Step 1: Enable HTTPS & HTTPS Redirect on your Blogger Blog.
Step 2: Sign up for Cloudflare and add your website.

[*] It may take about 12 - 48 hours for Cloudflare's DNS Server to integrate, Now you can access your website via all networks including GLO & Etisalat.

Alternative: Browse with Epic Browser on PC, Make sure you enable epic's encrypted proxy and select a country of your choice (Epic's Encrypted Proxy is a free built-in VPN that protects your browsing history from your ISP & other data collectors and secures you on public WiFi.).

For Internet Surfers:

If you use GLO network for browsing, kindly switch to a supported network like MTN, Airtel, or Etisalat (partially) for browsing.

Alternative: Browse with Opera mini, UCBrowser or Puffin on Mobile.

If you have another good working fix for this issue, kindly drop your comment.

Thanks, Hope This Works!
